Gutowski, Achim

Institut für Weltwirtschaft und Internationales Management Bremen, Berichte aus dem Weltwirtschaftlichem Colloquium der Universität Bremen, Nr. 69, 62 p.

With the slow step-by-step economic liberalization of the countries China and India during the last three decades, we can monitor a historical process including the integration of almost half of the world’s population.

Despite some similarities between China and India, the process of transformation of these two economies is quite different. Some of these differences are being analyzed and an overview is given about the transformation and liberalization process in China and India.
