The Institute for Civil Society at the Sun Yatsen University (ICS) is a non-profit organization engaged in research, experiment and advocacy. ICS was jointly created by The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the Sun Yat-Sen Univiersity (SYSU) in August 2003 and operates under SYSU’s Department of Anthropology. With years of experience of labour relation research and advocacy, ICS enjoys reliable and strong links with the Guangdong government, media, entrepreneurs, academia and NGOs.
